Arumugam Educational Trust founded by late Mr. Arumugam in the year 1982 with main objectives of establishing/maintaining and running Schools, Colleges, Social service centres, Industrial Training centres.

Periyar Nursery & Primary School, Manimangalam and Tiruvalluvar Nursery & Primary School, Padappai are funded/maintained under the Trust. More than 5000 students provided basic education, over 100 teachers trained under both schools.

School provides facilities such as drinking water/fan/fire extinguisher provision for each class room, proper sanitation facilities, play ground,library,computer,playing items,School Van facility etc.

School strictly adhere to the norms laid down by state government for safety. School has approvals from Tahsildar office, Building safety certificate for structural soundness,sanitary certificate, fire certificate. School also adhere to fees structure policy issued by Govt of TamilNadu.

Planning are underway to increase number of students provided basic education from 800 to 1200 per year and to train over 100 teachers over a period of time.
